The Montreal City Weblog calendar for 2019 is now available! Fourteen pages in tabloid size at 3.4MB in screen resolution and nearly 30MB in high resolution suitable for printing out.
I am still open to factual corrections, but if anyone has suggestions for either additional historical dates or quotations, I will save those for the next edition.

The entire public transit fare structure in the metropolitan area is meant to be revised next year and may be based on distance travelled, whether or not you use the metro, a surcharge for travelling at rush hour – everything’s being considered including billing for use at the end of the month instead of selling passes up front. Great way to reduce use of transit if people had to bean‑count every time they hopped on a bus.
Safest bet? Whatever diabolical scheme is dreamed up, this time next year your ticket or pass will be more expensive.

It’s news on the anglo side that Moishes has been sold to the consortium that also owns La Cage aux Sports but will continue to be managed by the son of the original Moishe. Never been there myself so I don’t have any feels in this story – anyone?
