A massive tire fire in Beauceville covered the town in black smoke over the weekend, reminding the Journal of the 1990 St-Amable fire when six million discarded tires burned for days, creating a scene of devastation that took three years to decontaminate. Beauceville is some considerable distance farther away from Montreal than St-Amable.
