Author Daniel Sanger has just brought out a new book on Projet Montréal and the surprising rise of Valérie Plante. It’s also out in English with Véhicule Press.

It’s too bad their website sucks so bad – I clicked on “Buy now” and it just opened a new tab with the same content. Does it work for anyone else? Here’s another new book about Montreal politics that I’ve ordered but haven’t read yet.

I heard about the Sanger book and tried to get the ebook from Véhicule ten days ago. Paypal went through, then the site gave me a big 500 error. I emailed them, and they said the book wasn’t ready yet, but when I asked them why they had a live link up for buying it, if it wasn’t yet available, they did not reply.
I’m still out $15 and no copy of the book. If anyone here succeeds in getting the book from Véhicule, please let me know.
MarcG, interesting book from Black Rose, not available yet either. I guess all these writers and publishers are targeting the municipal election campaign.

I also got the error page after payment and emailed them about it. Whoever does customer service is probably wondering why they’re having such a busy day.
