Complaints about airplane noise tripled last year against 2017, this being ascribed to a new app making the process easier.

That reminds me. some airport news from a few weeks ago that I don’t think got covered.

A new low cost airline that plans to fly across Quebec, Canada and some US destinations announced they would operate out of St-Hubert airport:

      https://globenewswire.com/news-release/2019/02/11/1716407/0/en/Canada-Jetlines-Announces-Planned-Routes-out-of-Montreal-Saint-Hubert-Longueuil-Airport.html

New airlines are very fragile, but this could really work well if they can actually follow through with their promises.

Oh man, do we ever live in the age of complaints.

The worst is when people complain and by the time you talk to them about their complaint (sometimes mere hours later) they have forgotten they have made a complaint.

@Faiz – They actually have stock CVE:JET with a current market cap of 41.27M… now that’s what I call a SCARY investment.

More than a thousand Algerian-Montrealers rallied Sunday at the consulate in a protest against Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s run for a fifth term as president of that country. Bouteflika is 82, is in ill health and is said to be in no shape to return to power. He’s been president since 1999.

The Centre d’histoire shows us what used to be on St-Hubert before the row of vintage housing was demolished to create the Îlot Voyageur. Above, two photos I took in 2005 of the last house, whose story is told in the item.

Amazing that project tanked so badly and is still essentially abandoned prime real estate.

Little Italy is trying to start a new tradition of a pre-Lent carnival as in other places. It was held on Saturday and the Gazette has three photos. Looking at the calendar, Lent starts this week, in fact on Ash Wednesday, making this Tuesday Mardi Gras.
