Phone video referenced in this CTV report shows STM police beating up a man who wasn’t offering any kind of resistance, and pushing him far too close to the edge of the platform as a train comes in. Item says the STM refused an interview but then gives cites from a spokesman apparently reading out official policy rather than responding to the recorded scene. The TVA version quotes a different spokesperson with similar official lines. The video is in this Facebook page.

Wow! I responded to an STM survey about my opinion on the role of, and my perception of STM inspectors on February 26. This sort of scenario was certainly not covered in that survey.
If the police were summoned they would file a report. Is there any FIOA method to obtain police reports?

Awful awful awful. When will citizens in this city stand up and say ‘enough is enough’?
People have a right to not be physically assaulted by their public service workers.
The fact these weren’t even cops just makes the whole thing even more sickening.

Well, there’s plenty of french citizens standing up and saying “Enough is enough” et on les traitent de ‘foule haineuse’… cf Gilets Jaunes : Les Blessés Qui Dérangent

Just last week (before this story broke) I had a talk with my 16 year old about the STM cops and how he would be wise to stay away from them. He’s not a troublemaker, just a normal kid but normal kids act foolish sometimes. No horseplay anywhere near these ‘roided up bullies.

Good move, dwgs. It’s not even new news. When I was in high school the guys learned not to provoke those dudes, and that’s a few decades ago.
