It’s two months since the disappearance of Ariel Kouakou. New signs have gone up along Henri‑Bourassa near where he lived in Cartierville, but aside from that there’s no new story. I still see photocopied info posters here and there, but that’s about it.

Journalists were invited to see the progress of the metro train garage at the excavation stage, somewhere abaft of Côte-Vertu station. Photos came out sporadically Tuesday on Twitter, and here Metro has photos and explanations giving a sense of the scale of the $440M project to create space not just to park ten trains underground, but also to give workers access to do maintenance and repairs.

A man was hurt overnight in a fall down a Mount Royal drop in the dark not far from where another man died in a similar way last year. I hope this won’t mean huge barriers along the paths or some other extreme response like closing off Camillien-Houde.
In other bizarre mountain news, some outfit wants to turn Beaver Lake into a competition swimming pool. Let’s hope this is just an early silly-season story.
