Eastern downtown’s shore to be reconsidered
With Molson moving away and Radio-Canada giving up the Maison, access to the river from the eastern end of downtown will be a thing as it hasn’t been in more than a century. The first move by the city will be a big consultation of everyone involved about what they want.
They have to ask? Money. That’s what people want. My prediction: this access to the shore will be restricted to the owners of posh condos there, just as owners have enclosed parts of the Lachine Canal and declared them private property.
