Atalante crashes Vice office
Members of the far-right group Atalante crashed the Montreal office of Vice on Wednesday to punish them for an article published last week on groups like theirs. Police say “no one was hurt and nothing illegal took place” so there will be no charges.
Radio-Canada also has a piece on Atalante.
Last week when Le Devoir had their fire, I saw someone (not on this blog) mocking the journalists when it was mentioned they had moved to their emergency location. I said then, and I’m thinking again now, that after what happened at Charlie Hebdo during an ordinary editorial meeting, journalists would be wise to be alert to threats, and here we are.
