Ottawa pays for more metro cars

Once again, Bombardier exercises its mysterious power over government, as Ottawa agrees to pay for more Azur cars for the Montreal metro, more to keep 170 workers in La Pocatière off pogey than to keep Montreal running.

Update: Fierce bit of criticism from Gérald Fillion of Radio-Canada: Quebec and Ottawa both lavish money on Bombardier, but it never has any shame about cutting jobs while paying its top executives millions in bonuses.
