City workers have begun the Herculean task of carting away tons of abandoned items following moving day. Inevitably there’s a kvetchy piece about apartments left in bad condition and landlords agitating for security deposits, balanced by another piece about rents that are too high, journalists playing both ends against the middle at a time of year when ledes are scanty.

A man and woman were shot in their car by someone in a vehicle passing theirs in Lachine Sunday night. They were able to get to hospital themselves and are not in danger, but TVA says they’re not cooperating with police.
