Drive-by book chute becomes hot potato

The Pierrefonds library is getting a fancy new wing, and its borough mayor loves how it will have a drive-by book chute – return borrowed items without leaving your car. Not everyone thinks this is a such an admirable idea.

Realistically though, doesn’t almost everyone in the West Island have a car, and doesn’t this mean a need for fewer parking spots? I wouldn’t like to see a city library follow suit, but in the West Island it fits right in.
